Description

Step into the retro time machine with the ultimate glowing masterpiece of the groovy era. The 1968 Lite-Brite, officially stamped as Model No. 5455 by Hasbro (back when they went by their original family name, Hassenfeld Bros.)! A true collectors piece of toy brand history.
Long before iPads and digital screens, this iconic toy was the peak of childhood entertainment. It transformed kids into neon-light artists using nothing but a glowing 25-watt lightbulb, black construction paper, and hundreds of tiny, colourful plastic pegs that parents dreaded stepping on in the middle of the night. You would push the pegs through a dark template, flick the power switch, and watch your creations—from a radiant clown to an electric sailboat—instantly explode into a vibrant, backlit masterpiece. It was a sensory thrill ride, a beautifully simple piece of classic engineering, and arguably the coolest nightlight a kid in the late '60s could ever ask for!
Still functioning and in the original box.  Comes with non pierced guides for: sailboat, steamboat, chicken, tropical fish, and choo choo train, and 6 customizable sheets, and a dish filled with coloured pegs. The box and guide papers are heavily aged, as seen in images, but the lite-brite itself is in great condition.
